Implementation of the School Health Program: relationship with aspects of students’ oral health

ABSTRACT This study aimed to investigate the association between School Health Program (PSE) implementation and aspects related oral health of adolescent students attending public schools in Brazil. An exploratory cross-sectional was conducted using data from 2015 National Survey (PeNSE) a sample 81,154 aged 13 15 capitals, Federal District, inland cities. Data were retrieved questionnaires answered by those responsible for schools. We performed bivariate analysis variable ‘implementation PSE actions school’ (Yes/No) students’ health. Compared without implementation, that had implemented better behavioral indicators (consumption sugar-added foods, cigarettes, alcohol); selling healthy or foods; availability group/committee, More Education with Primary Care Units (p<0.05). concluded there an more favorable regarding diet, tobacco use, alcohol consumption, school education actions.
